High pittched whining noise?

I hear the blinker thing too... it's your alternator loading down. Alot of Honda cars do that. The "whining" that you cannot miss is the loud obnoxious whine, sounds like you blew the blower bearings, is what I'm assuming that CKim is talkiing about

Actually.. it's not that loud nor obnoxious.

Blower bearings? That scares me. Can someone confirm that blown blower bearings sound like a whirring that disappears when the car is warm and there's load on the motor?

I kind of suspect that it has something to do with the bypass valve? Actually... I don't have the slightest idea.

My bypass valve must have a pinhole in it because it whistles at idle. Don't know if this is the sound you're talking about but to check, pull off the vacuum line from the bypass valve. If the sound goes away, that's it.

Are you married? I notice that sound a lot whenever I start working on my car. It goes away after I get the car running and get about a block away from home.

Not married no. Hahahaha. Lucky for me my girlfriend doesn't mind that I spend so much time working on my car TOO much.

That sounds pretty normal. The only additional info. I can offer is that my Cartech FMU has a pressure equalization hole that has whistled before (sounded like a squeeze toy). I would agree the the whirring is related to the whole system, which is pretty noisy in my opinion.

Yeah. It kind of sounds to me like it's just making more noise at idle because the SC is spinning faster than before.

I just wanted to be sure. =b

Any air coming in or out of that hole would indicate a leak. I've had gas come out of that hole before when gas was making it's way around the shim stock.
